Iriver D5 multimedia e-dictionaryThis Iriver D5 multimedia e-dictionary is finally available in the US.

This gadget is available in black and white with 2 formats the 2GB ($299.99) and 4GB ($349.99).

The D5 features a 3-inch (480 x 272) TFT display and a 52-key QWERTY thumboard.

It supports Ogg Vorbis, MP3, WMA, JPG, and TXT files and get this: the D5 can play Flash and MPEG-4 videos stored on its 2GB of internal memory. This is something we really like, as we now have mobile access to flash content. (please iPhone, support flash!)

Also available is an FM radio, a voice recorder, and a GPS module.

We do believe it's a bit overpriced, but that might change in the next months.

Flash drive using Iris RecognitionIf you have really sensitive data on your computer and you need a safe way to store it, then maybe this little gadget can be of assistance.

This flash drive, which comes in sizes of 1GB to 4GB offers an Iris scan protection.
It scans your iris (eye) to detect if you are in fact the rightful owner of the flash drive.

This flash drive has built-in batteries, the company responsible for this gadget assured is it is able to scan from up to 6 cm distance, meaning you don't have to bend over every time you want to use the flash drive.

The verification of the iris takes only 2 seconds. We may have to wait a few months before this comes out, as it is manufactured in Korea.
